I’m Ashley McHenry,
I’m based on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland in Cordova. I’ve been married to my best friend, Brandon (“B”), for 12 wonderful years, and together we’re raising our two sweet girls, Collins (9) and Reese (7). When I’m not behind the camera, I’ve spent the last 20 years serving as a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse, work that has shaped me into someone who treasures life’s little details and fleeting moments.
Why I do this
Photography has been my passion since I was young, and in the Fall of 2020, I took the leap to turn that lifelong dream into a business. What started as a hobby quickly became something so much bigger, a way to capture memories, tell stories, and spend more time with my family while doing what I love.
How I work
My style is a blend of both posed and candid moments. I’ll guide you through a few classic shots to start, but my favorite part is when the real connections shine through — the laughs, the hugs, the playful chaos. I love bringing energy to my sessions (yes, I’ll talk a lot and happily act a fool if it gets you smiling!). More than anything, I want your session to feel fun, relaxed, and full of memories you’ll treasure forever.
Fun Facts about me
I'm a Swiftie, a lefty, and a beach girl at heart. My favorite shoot I've ever been part of was a hauntingly beautiful cemetery session with my girls (still obsessed). When I'm behind the camera, senior portraits are my absolute favorite to capture - the energy, the confidence, the transformation... it's everything I love about photography.
